What is Pálinka?

Pálinka is a 100% pure destillate that made from real fruits, no additional sugar, flavour, colour or any other preservatives. What is Cognac for the French, Whiskey for the Irish, that's Pálinka for Hungarians. The first written references to Pálinka date is back to the 15. century, so basically it has about 500 years old history, and it is the most popular spirit of the Hungarian community, and is rapidly becoming extremely popular in other Europian countries.

Why is it so special?

The natural resources of the Hungarian countryside contributes to the growth of especially delicious fruits with rich aromas. These fruits give us extremely clear, flavourful distillates with intense fragrances without being aged in barrels. As the spirit does not make contact with the oak, the clarity of colour and the freshness of taste are equally retained.

We should treat ourselves, our environment and this treasure with respect by always refraining from drinking too much of it. The recommended daily intake of that 4 centilitres for adults may be served as an aperitif or provide a warming comfort trough common winter colds and refresh you on those hot summer days…
